The QEJA
Project

Building a community for the love of sport

Why do we love sport?

Many reasons—but one of the most inspiring is how sports bring people together. Whether you’re an experienced athlete or trying something new, when you show up—to move, connect, and grow—you’re part of a shared experience that transcends individual differences.

You. Matter.

The QEJA Project is a community of people who love our socks, stay active in their own ways, and strive to make a positive impact. Since our socks are designed for a wide range of activities, we’re proud to support diverse individuals who embody the spirit of the QEJA Project.

A professional mountain biker (who also juggles a full-time job) based in Salt Lake City, UT. I am an ex-ultra runner who discovered mountain biking and quickly became obsessed!

I have been racing professionally since 2022 and love the tight knit women's community of racers! I have represented Team USA in a world cup in Italy, a Pan-AM Marathon championships in Brazil and the Marathon MTB World Championships in Snowshoe, WV!

I am a Little Bellas mentor and help young girls find their love of mountain biking. I am currently working on my PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor) coaching certification to help get more women on bikes!

Jason Thienel

@jasonthienel

When you live in Nashville, it takes a strong sense of curiosity and imagination to satiate an appetite for the mountains.

While it might not be the hometown for many mountain athletes, my life-long love for exploration and pushing my limits gives me plenty of opportunities to let my creativity run wild.

When I'm not on the trail, I enjoy climbing on sandstone and sipping espresso at the best little gear shop this side of the Mississippi.

Chelsea Bolton

@chels.bolton

Chelsea enjoys spending as much time as possible outside, preferably mountain biking and trail running.

She also loves time with dogs, and can often be found taking photos of the dog she meets out on the trails!

She has a running background and is hoping to spend more time on foot on new and old trails this year!

Off Road Triathlon National Championships. This year, Nathan is focusing on racing World Triathlon races all over the world to build up his world ranking to represent team USA in Triathlon at the 2028 Olympics.

Fun Fact: He has a three legged dog named Sebastian

Gemma Bachmann

@lifesagemma

I discovered cycling over 10 years ago, starting with commuting, and it quickly became a passion. Road cycling led to endurance rides, gravel sparked off-road adventures, and mountain biking added technical trails and adrenaline. I've also competed in cyclocross and gravel races, pushing my limits and planning to dive into MTB racing this year.

During pregnancy, I switched to e-biking to stay active—helping me maintain the freedom of cycling despite a growing belly.

Cycling has also shaped my personal life. I met my husband at a cycling festival, and it’s been a central part of our relationship, from shared rides to adventures. Cycling has taken me to incredible places, introduced me to amazing people, and continues to bring joy. I can’t wait to share this passion with my little one and inspire a love for the outdoors.

Rylan Munson

@rylanmunson38

My dad got my brother were into racing way before I was even born, so when I came around I was just born into the sport! I have been racing ever since I was 4 years old and riding since I was 2 years old. I turned professional in 2022 when I was 20 years old and now race for a living.

I’ve been working with QEJA really since right when I turned professional and they have treated me so well ever since!

These sock are by far the best socks I’ve ever worn for my cross training off the bike (cycling, running, gym) and now with their ski socks I can wear them in my motocross boots!

Ellie Stevens

@runellie1

I am a British middle-distance runner based in Las Vegas, with a lifelong passion for athletics. I come from a track background, specializing in the 1500m, but since moving to the USA in 2017, I’ve embraced the challenge and joy of longer distances. Running has taken me across the globe, introducing me to incredible places, remarkable people, and friendships that I will treasure for a lifetime.

Overcoming illness and adversity throughout my 20s and early 30s has given me a deep gratitude for every opportunity to run, train, and compete. Each start line is a privilege, and each run is a reminder of the strength and resilience this sport has brought into my life. Running isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.

Christina Vergara Aleshire

@vergarachristina

I have always been actively involved in sports and athletics but wasn’t exposed to competitive running until later in life.

My goal was to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials and have now qualified two times and successfully competed in both the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Team Trials for the Marathon. I loved the journey and am excited to continue the process.

I love running because I get to connect with the beautiful outdoors and because of the wonderful friendships I’ve developed over training runs and competitions. I love the sense of community running provides and the many ways it impacts people’s lives.

Ashley Fruhwirth

@sariashi

Ashley lives in Sacramento, CA and has been racing cyclocross since 2012. She helps organize community rides, races and events.

"Bikes saved me. I want people to feel as loved and supported as I have so the least I can do is be that for others."
